It was the day before March Madness 2008 begins so I kept some time open to examine the brackets and make a small wager on teams I like, that was, until my credit card was denied.
I just contacted Household Bank, my credit card company, in regards to their denying my $100.00 deposit into an online sports wagering site. I spoke to a customer service representative who told me that several credit card companies have blocked using credit cards for gambling. Even though I have excellent history with them, I am not responsible enough to decide where and how I wish to spend my money.
I am appalled at this ludicrous debauchery dictating where and how I wish to spend my money. This is a cross between socialism and dictatorship and
