Dealing with Childhood Obesity?
According to Merriam Webster online (m-w.com), obesity is defined as "a condition characterized by the excessive accumulation and storage of fat in the body." And most of us know that this is the basic definition. But what does it mean to be obese? And what can you do about it for yourself and your children? In recent years, stories of obesity rates rising around the world are common on news broadcasts. We hear about morbid obesity in adults and shocking childhood obesity rates. For many of us, these statistics are eye opening. We do not want our children to go through the emotional and physical tolls associated with being extremely overweight. So, what do we do about it?
