Many studies have resulted that many Americans are obese than ever before, interestingly, we are not alone. Not only the Americans are fatter than before, so are the dogs; and this phenomenon can have very serious ramifications for both the groups. Obese dogs have a lot of risks that many obese people have. Whenever a dog is hyper weight it has higher risk of heart disease, weak joints, respiratory ailments and many other problems. To keep it short; it's every extra bit is dangerous for a dog like it's for an obese person - perhaps more as their lifespan is shorter that dogs possess. An overweight 8 year old doggie is similar to an overweight 56 year old person and is subjected to many health risks.
