"Circumference" is the third mostly-autobiographical solo comedy from Minneapolis actor/writer/storyteller Amy Salloway. Based on the year Salloway spent trying to get insurance approval for gastric bypass surgery in a last-ditch attempt to procure a body that would earn her acceptance and love instead of ostracism and ridicule, the play is about fat, food, sex, self-esteem, discrimination, fitness centers, the lingering memories of 7th grade gym class, and -- most of all -- whether an "external self" and "internal self" can ever unite after decades of a bitter divorce.
