[WATCH]: Who Called the Food Stamp Grocery Police?

COMMENTARY | Do more than 44 million Americans need a food stamp grocery police to inspect their purchases? How about the 16.3 percent of Floridians, as identified by the Wall Street Journal, who are receiving food stamp assistance? The Sun Sentinel highlights two Republican lawmakers who are introducing this type of legislation in Florida. Claiming taxpayers should not foot the bill for the poor to buy obesity-causing soda, candy or ice cream with food stamps, they are working on adding this contraband to the items already ineligible for food stamps purchases -- cigarettes, toilet paper, pet food and booze. In short, if you are poor, HB 1401 will make sure your children will not have any "sweetened beverages, including sodas;
