[WATCH]: SOC269 - Biggest Loser

A culture jamming assignment for our popular culture class. Our strategy for this culture jamming assignment was performance art and mock advertising. While McDonald's is enjoyed by many people from all walks of life, it is a resource for low income families. Many of these families would not be able to afford healthy meals for the whole family but they can get a family meal for a fraction of the cost. McDonald's is almost as visible in North America as the obesity it promotes. We are 'poking fun' at the fact that McDonald's supports and sponsors athletic events, when any real athletes probably wouldn't touch their food.
