[WATCH]: CHILDHOOD OBESITY
Understanding the epidemic of obesity in adults begins with understanding childhood obesity. It becomes important for us to ask and answer tough questions so that we can successfully address this growing American epidemic. When do we consider a child as "obese?" What are the challenges for our children to eat healthy? Do they know the meaning of good nutrition? What is "BMI" and why is this important in understanding whether or not a child is obese? What is a food "oasis?" What are the treatments and interventions in the care of children who are obese? How do we prevent childhood obesity in the first place? Is bariatric surgery an appropriate treatment for childhood obesity? Does it help to limit a child's time watching television
