Hafa Adai! This is the second obesity PSA produced on Guam by the Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) Guam Office of Minority Health (GOMH) in partnership with Guam PBS. It was created entirely on Guam in May 2012 and features community volunteers. The embedded message about smoking was used because many people who are overweight and/or obese on Guam also tend to smoke. In fact, the rates for adult females who smoke on Guam are higher than the rates for adult males in the US mainland.
