Sugar consumption in the USA has been steadily escalating since the early 1800's and guess what?... Diabetes and obesity have been going through the roof in lockstep. The National Center for Health Statistics recently stated that half of the US population over the age of two years consumes sugary drinks. Now, sugary drinks are generally thought of as a soda, sweet tea or something of the similar.
