January 16, 2013. Residents of Point Breeze got a tech upgrade, with the areas first robotic convenience store. Well, it's not so much a "store" as a giant vending machine that dispenses everything from mini pizzas to lighters to detergent. Now I'm a fan of progress, but I'd miss that warm, personal touch that only South Philly can provide. Nothing says convenience like a morbidly obese woman wearing hot pink sweat pants, threatening to beat her screaming children as she hands you the wrong change.
