Obesity has become a major problem in the US. According to World Health Organization statistics, the US ranks the ninth most obese nation in the world, with 64 percent of its adult population considerd overweight or obese. The country is going to great lengths to try and resolve the problem. One such effort is a calorie counting camera that is being used to help children in the US beat obesity. Before enjoying their meal, these pupils at an elementary school in San Antonio, Texas are required to have their food photographed by a special camera. The device shoots their lunches and the leftovers, and calculate each student's calorie intake. The content of lunch trays are snapped before and after, and a computer works out the calorie
