Teenage Obesity

Our world is facing a growing problem. Obesity in teens is becoming a more prevalent factor with our youth. One in five teenagers in the 13-16 age group is overweight. One in five fifteen-year-olds is considered obese. Obesity is determined when a person's body mass index, BMI, is over 30 they are considered obese. This brings a growing concern with all the health related issues caused by obesity and the rising cost of health care.As a teenager, losing weight can be easier than it is for an adult, because the body tends to burn calories much quicker.
