According to a recent study, most obese people with diabetes could be cured by weight loss surgery. With the gastric bypass surgery, experts expect about 80% of the patients to come off their diabetes medication.
A review on a study led by Rick Meijer, at the Institute for Cardiovascular Research at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, claims that finding exceeded what was possible with more conventional diabetes treatment.
