[WATCH]: BC Advocating for Active Kids

www.ctvvancouverisland.ca http VICTORIA -- Remember the days when kids used to run around the neighbourhood for hours playing tag or riding bikes until dinner was ready? For most children across the country, the days of active play are a thing of the past, replaced by video games or watching TV. Almost a third of Canadian children are overweight. But the province is trying to change that and is asking BC parents to go back to basics and get out and play. The province says about 31 percent of Canadian children are overweight, which is more than double the number back in 1978 when it was just 15 percent.
