Childhood obesity is a growing problem throughout the nation, and as Northern Virginia's premier not-for-profit healthcare provider, Inova Health System has been leading efforts to battle this epidemic. In 2005, Inova helped create the Northern Virginia Healthy Kids Coalition, a multi-jurisdictional group that has been researching the obesity problem.
