Health care professionals all across the US believe that low-card diet is not the solution to battle obesity. According to them a low-card diet tends to be heavy in animal products, this contributes half of greenhouse gases compare to a diet that is composed of whole grains, vegetables, fruit and legumes which are all environmentally safe and can keep the weight off.
A study conducted by Journal of the American Dietetic Association found that consuming a low-carbohydrate diet increases the chance of being overweight or obese. In addition to the study, the lowest risk of being in those conditions is by consuming 47 to 64 percent calories from carbohydrates.
