Stemming The Tide Of Obesity With Surgery
Staggering, is the best way to describe the obesity problem in the United States. To quote a significant statistical figure from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 67 percent of adults 20 years and older are overweight or obese as surveyed in 2006. So to apply the result, 6 out of 10 adults are overweight or obese. Children don't fare much better with 18 percent being overweight between the ages of 12 and 18.
