[WATCH]: Can Watching TV Really Take Years Off Your Life?

But now there is a new study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine that shows that every hour of TV watched by people age 25 or over may result in as much as a 22-minute reduction in life expectancy! If a person is watching an average of six hours of TV per day, they can expect to live 4.8 years less than someone who watches no TV. That brings TV viewing right up there with other major chronic disease risk factors such as physical inactivity and obesity.
