Our Congress is considering reducing the WIC Program by $733 Million the week after Labor Day; affecting thousands of families throughout our country. The WIC Program provides nutritious foods and nutrition education to families in need. Over 50% of infants born in the USA are on the WIC Program. If our Senate approves this severe budget cut, up to 450000 low-income pregnant women, infants and children could lose this critical nutrition assistance. Should America be giving hundreds of millions of dollars to big oil companies through generous tax breaks while our children go hungry? We strongly urge our Senate to save WIC from these drastic cuts. visit
