Been to pets at home today for a few bits and bobs for the Guinea pigs. Please note - all treats are perfectly healthy when fed in moderation. I will most likely give my piggies a few treats a day. Guinea pigs should not be fed treats which contain dairy or youghurts. Guinea pigs are lactose intolerant. Alfalfa is also a popular food choice; most guinea pigs will eat large amounts of alfalfa when offered it, though there exists some controversy over the feeding of alfalfa to adult guinea pigs.
