Can We Tailor Our Food Intake To Eliminate Diseases or Obesity?
Researchers know that diet and physical activity play a role in diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and cancer; but the inconsistencies that exist between studies frustrate scientists, physicians, and the public. Now some researchers are taking a different approach, labeled InterAct, a large, multinational research study to define how diet and lifestyle influence risk of type 2 diabetes. In the United States and Europe, as much as 40% of the population will at some time battle with diabetes making it an enormous health care cost and frequent disease.
