Childhood obesity rates have doubled in the past 5 years, and Type 2 diabetes and other health-related conditions are on the rise. Access to healthy affordable food is severely limited in communities with rail, lake and winter road access only. Some communities don't have grocery stores and residents have to travel 2 days or more to buy groceries.
